Yet, I saw the following chart today on <em>Marginal Revolution<\/em>, originally from Paul Kedrosky&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/paul.kedrosky.com\/archives\/2010\/06\/picked_a_bad_ye.html\">blog<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-6264  aligncenter\" title=\"ytd_thumb\" src=\"https:\/\/calltoreason.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/ytd_thumb.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"503\" height=\"418\" srcset=\"https:\/\/calltoreason.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/ytd_thumb.png 503w, https:\/\/calltoreason.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/ytd_thumb-300x249.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 503px) 100vw, 503px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This chart suggests that sugar is actually having a rather bad year on a global basis. So why is Malaysia short on sugar when the sugar price is ridiculously low?
